CRISIS CRIES: Last Friday, I woke up around 8:00 and as a part of a routine, I hurried to the rest room. As I finished my liability in bathroom I opened the tap for water but sadly I was lead to a disappointment. Then, I tried to make a call from the toilet to my room-mate perceiving that he would help me to draw some water by switching the motor ON. But the Nepali network as usual showed its originality; hence I had to make a shout to my friend for the help. And, despite of his assist, my mission on fetching water still failed, it was load shedding at the same time which frustrated me. This was just the beginning of the extraordinary day. Well, I hook and crook managed some water and finished my bathroom duty. Then I decided to move to the dining hall for my lunch and this time the lunch was different from the normal menu. It was not the “pulaou or any special dish” rather it was “the khichaddi”, mixture of rice, dhal and vegetable for which I had to substance with. When I asked my warden about this, he said due to lack of gases in the market hostel department was forced to make khichaddi. Well, I had examination that day, so I moved for my destination. Shockingly, it was the day of Nepal Banda, so, I came back to the hostel and requested one of the brothers to take me to the center but again he replied that he could not assist me because, because of the lack of petrol in the market, his bike was out of fuel. Hence, I decided to use my own number eleven vehicles i.e. two legs to move to the center. This story of mine is just a representative story of what Nepalese people have been getting through most of the time in a year. Well, despite of the so called crisis, we Nepalese people do have resilience that has always helped us to survive in the worst of condition imagined. Sixteen hours of load shedding per day, dry water tap for more than 160 hours a week, no adequate supply of petroleum products in the market and no network coverage signifies how much of toughness do the old faces in so called “New Nepal” possess. Getting deep into the problem of Nepal, the rural areas people do acquire the difficulty faced by the normal Nepali living in a city. Moreover, the rural side people are also deprive of appropriate diet, proper health facilities, fine education, good sanitation and also the facilities of proper roadways. And if anyone is thinking that the rich people in Nepal are safe from the calamity zone than the question arise that are they really able to breathe fresh in the polluted city. Well, the answer is no and this really shows that every kind of people have been suffering from crisis here in Nepal, no matter of what level they are and what intensity it is. Blame game in Nepal has really lead Nepal into the worst of the condition that was never thought of because nobody is ready to accept the mistakes here. Blaming politicians is just the best way chosen by the citizens to show that they are not the cause for the current situation of Nepal. So, as single drop of water helps to form the ocean, every Nepali should give the best from their side also being loyal towards the state which will help to stabilize the political scenario of the country which then can help to reduce the crisis in the country. Well, I wish no one to suffer from the crisis like I beard in the five by ten (5 by 10) feet of rest room. So, its 1,47,181 square kilometer area where crisis has hit. Oh! Sorry India have captured some part so thanks India, its less than that!. Moreover, getting over the Constitution’s crisis is the most to get rid of other sort of predicament in the nation. Let everyone breathe fresh or should we really wait till May 28! Text: Sudesh Thapa
